PENGARUH SIZE, TANGIBILITY, DAN PROFITABILITY TERHADAP STRUKTUR MODAL PADA PERUSAHAAN CONSUMERGOOD DI BURSA EFEK INDONESIA
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to investigate the influence of variable size, tangibility and profitability on the capital structure on consumer good companies that go public in Indonesia Stock Exchange. These factors may be considered by the company and can be used as sources of information that can be used by companies to determine capital structure.
The variables will be discussed in this research is independent variable that is 1). Size / size of company, 2). Tangibility / tangible assets, 3). Profitability / profitability. While the bound variable is Leverage / capital structure. The population of this research is consumer good company that went public on the Surabaya Stock Exchange from 2002-2006. Sampling technique using non-probabilistic techniques carried out based on criteria tailored to the specific purpose of research or consideration of the researcher.
The results can be concluded that the Size variable has no significant and positive impact on capital structure, tangibility variable has no significant and negative effect on capital structure, to Profitability variables have a significant and negative effect on capital structure.
